This is my DVD poster. I like the outcome of it because it looks how I imagined and it is very film noir. |

memory check
1.Look at the following four photographs and describe the rules of composition they adhere to and explain the message (meaning/what are they about) behind the images.
The theme is the UK because the gray scale picture is how the UK used to be and the tower bridge is a land mark for Britain and there are British flags.
This is a landscape shot and the tower bridge is symmetrical. |
Cropped image, small aperture did not use a wide aperture. |
Rule of thirds, wide aperture and shallow depth of field. |
Black and white photograph. I think this was taken in the 50s because of the decor and the clothing on the people. This is a crop shot. |
2. Put the below apertures in order, starting with the one that will produce the shallowest depth of field.
a) F16 b) F1.8 c) F8 d) F4
F1.8, F4, F8 and F16
3. If the shutter speed is 1/60th of a second and the ISO is doubled from 100 to 200 what will the shutter speed be increased to?
1/500th b) 1/240th c) 1/120th d) 1/100th
1/120th
5. You are taking a landscape shot. What aperture value would you use to gain the maximum depth of field?
a) F5.6 b) F2.8 c) F16 d) F22 e) F8
B F22

contact sheets
This is my contact sheet for my person for my montage. I have chosen P1110608.JPG because I like the shadow and the lighting on her face and the fact that I can see more of her face. |
This contact sheet is for my shadow. |
This contact sheet is for my shadow as well. I have chosen P1110621.JPG because the pose is good and the focus. I did not chose the others because there was not the right focus and right pose. |
This contact sheet is for my street. I have chosen HNI_0065.JPG because its straight path and it is more in focus. I took these photographs on my 3ds because I could not take out a camera. |
