week 2-2 proposal

Task -2Film Noir Proposal (500 words) My idea is having a male modal standing side view with his hand above his shoulders and his finger on his lips as if he is telling someone to be quiet. There is a spot light shining on him causing his shadow to appear and his shadow is running. There is a knife in the wall where his heart is as if his shadow has been impaled and the wall will have blood dripping out.
The style will be film noir. The camera shot will be a wide shot with close ups.
For the lighting I will use spot lights in the studio  and a red head light.
I will need a male model.
The prop that I will use will be a spot light. The locations I will need are the studio and a side street.  I will be using the rule of thirds and leading lines for my street.

Shot 1- description

Shot one will consist of a side street with dark lighting. I would take this photograph at night because I would have natural dark lighting and I will have a little light from the street lights which will give the street a bit more definition. I will take this photograph at home the effect will be in black and white 14/11/15

Shot 2 – description

Shot two will consist of a knife embedded in a wall with blood pouring out. The shot will be a close up on the knife with blood on it. I will do this image at home because I can't bring sharp objects in to college. The effect will be in black and white 14/11/15

Shot 3 – description Shot three will consist of my male model standing in side view and have a spot light in front of him to create shadow, depth and lighting. The effect will be in black and white and I will take this in the studio because I will have the right lighting and equipment with me. 9/11/15

Shot 4 – description

Shot four will consist of my male model in a running pose but I will only be taking a photograph of his shadow and not him. I will use a spot light to create a circle light around the shadow because I only need the shadow not the male model.  The effect I will use will be black and white 9/11/15

Each shot will take up to five minutes, the whole shoot should take up to an hour. I will need to take a camera out and hire the studio room and spot lights and a tripod.

I will add these images together using Photoshop and add the black and white effects on each photograph. I think I will take five shots of each to see which shot looks the best and use that final shot that I like for my final piece. If I can’t find a male model I will have to use a female model.
